Elizabeth Njoka

Programs Officer, Nutrition

Elizabeth Njoka is a nutritionist, nurse, and researcher passionate about building healthier communities. As Programmes Officer, Nutrition at the Diabetes Awareness Trust (DAT), she leads education and outreach initiatives that simplify nutrition, inspire positive lifestyle changes in patient assessment, care planning, and health advocacy, working with individuals across all age groups from infants to the elderly to address diverse nutritional needs. Her ability to simplify complex nutritional concepts fosters community understanding, encourages positive behavior change and support the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

With a Bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and a Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, she combines clinical expertise with community-based programming to design inclusive, culturally sensitive interventions. Guided by evidence-based practice and a commitment to empowerment, she plays a key role in advancing DAT’s mission of promoting safe and healthy food practices.
