Join us as DAT proudly stands with the global community to mark World Diabetes Day on November 14th, 2024. Our event will take place at Jericho Health Centre in Makadara Sub-County, Nairobi County.
The day will begin with an empowering awareness walk within Jericho that will start and end at Jericho Health Centre from 9.00am-10.00am, aiming to shine a spotlight on diabetes prevention and management. Together, we’ll raise awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and highlight the role of safely produced foods, particularly agroecological and organic options, as key components for health and wellness. This aligns with our theme for the day: “Nurturing Well-being: Empowering Lives through Healthy Choices.”
At Jericho Health Centre, we are teaming up with the Department of Health to host a comprehensive health camp offering free screenings for diabetes and hypertension. Our dedicated team will also provide practical tips and resources on nutritious diets and the value of choosing safe and locally sourced foods to support long-term health.
